See also Face. When two or more points (also known as vertices) are joined together they create a shape called a polygon. Polygons are put together to create objects - such as the six faces of a cube, each consisting of a square polygon. Three sided polygons are referred to as tris or triangles, four sided are quads, five sided and higher are referred to as ngons.
